Early Career

Valeriu Bordeanu, a Romanian footballer and current coach, began his football journey in his hometown of Botosani with the local club Mecanex. In 1995, he embarked on his professional career with Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț, making his debut in the Romanian league on December 13, 2005, against Oțelul Galați. He played a total of 9 matches for the club.

Club Career

Bordeanu then moved on to Bucovina Suceava in 1996, where he spent a season before transferring to Politehnica Iași in 1997. He made 9 appearances for the latter team, before joining Steaua București in 1999. Over an intermittent period with Steaua until 2003, he featured in 40 matches, scoring 1 goal. During this time, he also spent periods on loan at Bacău, where he played 33 games and scored 1 goal.

In 2003, Bordeanu joined Rapid București, playing 21 matches and finding the net once. The following year, he made the move to Russia, signing for Kuban Krasnodar on loan until the end of 2004. He made his debut for Kuban the next day in a Russian Cup match, and his Premier League debut on August 15 in an away game against Dynamo Moscow, securing a 1-0 victory. However, he failed to establish himself in the starting lineup, making only one more appearance in the top flight and 8 for the reserve team. As a result, Kuban opted not to extend his contract, and he returned to Romania.

Bordeanu's subsequent clubs included Universitatea Craiova (2005), Politehnica Iași (2005-2007), and Unirea Urziceni (2007-2008). With Unirea, he reached the final of the Romanian Cup in 2008, but the team lost 1-2 to CFR Cluj.

Coaching Career

After his playing career, Bordeanu transitioned into coaching. He has managed several Romanian clubs, including Gloria Buzău, ACS Berceni, and Foresta Suceava.
