Early Career
Valeriy Kutsenko began his football journey with DYuFL teams "Knyazha" and "Kremin." In 2003, he joined the youth setup of Dnipropetrovsk's FC Dnipro, where he primarily played for the reserve team and FC Dnipro-2.
FC Dnipro
Kutsenko made his debut for the FC Dnipro senior squad on September 21, 2005, in a Ukrainian Cup match against FC Rava.
FC Obolon Kyiv
In the summer of 2006, Kutsenko transferred to FC Obolon Kyiv. He made his debut on July 21, 2006, in a match against FC Mykolaiv, scoring a goal in the 7-1 victory. He played a pivotal role in the team's promotion to the Premier League in the 2009/2010 season.
Premier League Debut and Success
Kutsenko's Premier League debut came on July 19, 2009, in a match against FC Metalist Kharkiv. In the subsequent match against FC Zarya Luhansk, he provided two assists and scored a penalty goal.
International Career
Kutsenko represented Ukraine at the youth level, playing for the U-17 and U-18 national teams in 2003.
