Valery Vysotsky - Polish Opera Singer and Music Educator
Valery Vysotsky was a Polish opera singer (bass) and music educator. He received his education at the Warsaw Conservatory and later studied under Franzechko Lamperti. Vysotsky made his operatic debut in Odessa and began performing in Warsaw in 1860. He also showcased his talent in Italy, performing at Milan's La Scala theater and in Turin.
Teaching Career and Legacy
In 1868, Vysotsky started teaching in Warsaw and in 1885, he became a professor at the Warsaw Conservatory. He had many notable vocalists among his students, including Adam Didur, Salomea Kruszelnicka, Helena Rushkovska-Zboinska, Janina Korolewicz-Vaidova, Alexander Mishuga, Modest Vitoshinsky, and others.
A Unique Singing Methodology
Vysotsky developed his own unique singing methodology, placing special emphasis on the development of diction. His approach aimed to enhance the clarity and articulation of singers' voices, allowing them to effectively communicate the nuances and emotions of the music they performed.
