Biography of Vanessa Branch
Vanessa Branch is an Anglo-American actress and model, best known for her role in the advertising campaign for the chewing gum brand 'Orbit'.
Early Life and Education
Vanessa Branch was born to British parents and grew up in Pennsylvania. She completed her schooling in Pennsylvania and went on to attend Middlebury College, from which she graduated in 1994. During her time in college, Branch won the title of 'Miss Vermont' in 1994.
Acting and Modeling Career
After college, Branch began her career as a private tutor, teaching French to two girls named Blair and Ana Van Pelt. She eventually moved with the Van Pelt family to Newport Beach, California. It was in Southern California that Branch pursued her acting and modeling career.
Branch has appeared in various film and television roles, including episodes of 'Lost' and 'Gilmore Girls', as well as the movie 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. She also had a role in the pilot episode of 'Andy Barker P.I.' and appeared in an episode of 'Star Trek: Voyager'.
In 2002, Branch played the characters of Mary Margaret 'Paige' Barrington Smith and Rebecca 'Becca' Barrington in the soap opera 'Port Charles'. She also appeared in numerous commercials, most notably as the face of 'Orbit' chewing gum for four years.
In addition to her acting work, Branch has lent her voice to video game characters, such as Zhana Agonskaya in 'Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3' and Beatrice Portinari in 'Dante's Inferno'.
Recent Projects
In recent years, Branch has continued to appear in popular television shows such as 'Criminal Minds' and 'Bones'. She also participated as a judge in the reality show 'Model Employee'.
Branch is currently working on the project '500 Miles North', in which she will have one of the leading roles. The film is set to be released in 2014.
Personal Life
Vanessa Branch holds dual citizenship in both the United Kingdom and the United States. She is known to have some proficiency in French and Mandarin Chinese dialect.
