Early Triumphs

Lalayan's talent became evident early on when he captured the silver medal at the 2018 Junior World Championships in the +105 kg weight category. He also earned a silver medal at the Junior European Championships in the same category.

Record-Breaking Performances

In 2019, Lalayan surpassed previous achievements by winning the gold medal at the Junior World Championships in the +109 kg category. He repeated this feat at the Junior European Championships later that year, demonstrating his exceptional strength and endurance.

European Dominance

Lalayan's international success continued in 2021 when he won the bronze medal at the European Championships in the +109 kg category. He also claimed bronze medals in both the snatch and clean and jerk events.

At the 2024 Olympic Games, Lalayan competed in the +102 kg category and secured a prestigious silver medal. He lifted a total weight of 467 kilograms, just three kilograms behind gold medalist Lasha Talakhadze.
