Biography of Varduhi Vardanyan
Varduhi Vardanyan was an Armenian pop singer who achieved great success in her career.
Education and Music Career
Vardanyan completed her musical education at the School of Music affiliated with the Choral Society of Armenia in 1993. She then went on to graduate from the Valery Bryusov Institute of Foreign Languages in 1994. In 2003, Vardanyan earned her degree from the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan.
In 1994, Vardanyan participated in an international competition held in Sverdlovsk with the jazz-pop ensemble "Dzhaz-Pop" and was awarded the Grand Prix. She also worked at the State Theater of Songs in Armenia in 1995 and received a special prize for best performance at the "Yalta-Moscow Transit" competition for young performers in 1996.
Vardanyan was recognized as the Singer of the Year in Armenia in 1999. The following year, she won the Grand Prix and the Audience Sympathy Award at the "Discovery" competition in Bulgaria. In the same year, she once again won the Grand Prix in Macedonia.
In 2000, Vardanyan participated in the international competition "Slavianski Bazaar" and took second place. She also competed in the "Sea of Friends 2001" International competition for young performers in Yalta, Ukraine, where she secured second place.
Tragic Accident and Personal Life
Sadly, Vardanyan met with a fatal accident on October 15, 2006, as a result of a car crash on the Sevan-Martuni highway in Armenia.
Vardanyan was married and had a son named Ruben, who was born in 1998.
