Early Life and Family

Varvara Lepchenko was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to Pyotr and Larisa. She has a sister, Jane, and a Siberian husky named Belka. Lepchenko began her tennis journey at the age of seven.

International Career

Lepchenko initially represented Uzbekistan in international competitions. However, on September 17, 2007, she officially switched her nationality to the United States.

Move to the United States

In 2000, Lepchenko relocated to the United States. She resided there permanently and eventually acquired American citizenship in 2011.
