Disqualification and Controversy
On September 24, 2018, the organizers of the National Beauty Contest announced that Didusenko had been disqualified from the Miss Ukraine 2018 competition. The organizers stated that she had failed to disclose her marital status and the existence of her four-year-old child. These factors violated the pageant's rules, which required contestants to be unmarried and childless.
Despite the disqualification, Didusenko expressed her intention to fight the decision, calling the pageant's requirements discriminatory. However, legal actions by the organizers were not immediately initiated.
Aftermath
The organizers announced that the new winner of the Miss Ukraine 2018 pageant would be crowned on September 30, 2018. The jury remained the same for the selection process.
