The organizers stated that she had failed to disclose her marital status and the existence of her four-year-old child. These factors violated the pageant's rules, which required contestants to be unmarried and childless.
Despite the disqualification, Didusenko expressed her intention to fight the decision, calling the pageant's requirements discriminatory. However, legal actions by the organizers were not immediately initiated.
