Spanish Footballer Joaquín Piquer

Early Career

Joaquín Piquer, a Spanish footballer, played as a right-back. His professional career began with "Valencia Mestalla" in the Segunda Division. In 1956, he became a player for "Valencia."

Club Career

Debut and Goal

On February 24, 1957, Piquer made his La Liga debut for Valencia against "Barcelona." In the following match, he scored his first goal against "Real Sociedad."

Success with Valencia

Throughout his career, Piquer was a regular player for Valencia, helping them win the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup twice consecutively (1961/62 and 1962/63).

Retirement

After two years with "Málaga" in the second division and a year with amateur team "Sueca," Piquer retired from professional football in 1968 at the age of 33.

Coaching Career

Following his retirement, Piquer worked as a coach, primarily in lower divisions and in his home region.

International Career

Piquer made only one appearance for the Spanish national team, in a 1-1 draw against France on December 10, 1961.

Death

Joaquín Piquer passed away in his hometown on March 1, 2018, at the age of 83 after a prolonged illness.
