Vincents Geiger: A Rising Star in Nordic Combined

Early Career

Vincent Geiger, a German Nordic Combined athlete, began his international career in January 2015 at the Continental Cup. His World Cup debut came in Lillehammer on December 5, 2015, where he finished 31st. Despite the promising start, Geiger was relegated to the Continental Cup, where he secured a victory in Ramsau.

Continental and Junior Championships

At the 2016 Junior World Championships in Râșnov, Romania, Geiger showcased his potential, earning silver medals in the 10km individual event and the team relay. His performances earned him regular appearances in the World Cup from the 2016/2017 season onwards.

World Cup Success

Geiger's breakthrough came on December 18, 2016, when he stepped onto the World Cup podium for the first time in Ramsau, Austria. He finished third behind fellow Germans Eric Frenzel and Fabian Riessle.

Junior World Championship Triumph

In February 2017, Geiger claimed the gold medal in the 5km race at the Junior World Championships in Soldier Hollow, Utah. However, he was not selected for the German team for the 2017 Nordic World Ski Championships.
