In 1942, Christine signed a contract with Warner Bros. and began regularly appearing on screen. Her first film was 'Edge of Darkness' in 1942, where she played the character Miss Olson, a Norwegian. One of Christine's main talents was her ability to imitate foreign accents. She first utilized this skill to create the character of Olson. In the 1950s, Christine appeared in two projects by Rod Cameron - 'State Trooper' and 'Coronado 9'. She also had roles in series such as 'The DuPont Show with June Allyson', 'Behind Closed Doors', and 'How to Marry a Millionaire'. One of her most notable roles during this time was Hilary St. George, a self-absorbed colleague of Katharine Hepburn's character in the film 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner' in 1967. However, Christine's most famous role began in 1965 when she started her career as the wholesome Mrs. Olsen, comforting young couples with her kind advice and a cup of 'Folgers Coffee'. In 1971, her hometown honored this commercial series by transforming a local water tower into a giant coffee pot. Christine's final role was in an episode of the series 'Kojak' in 1976.
