Dr. Petryshyn is a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (elected on May 18, 1990). He holds a Doctorate in Technical Sciences and is a distinguished alumnus of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (graduated in 1956), where he studied under the renowned Professor V. S. Koch.
