Early Life and Football Career
Born and raised in Nalchik, Vladimir Belov began his football journey with local clubs Dynamo and Spartak. In 1953, he was invited to join Moscow's Dynamo, where he would spend the next 12 seasons as the understudy to legendary goalkeeper Lev Yashin.
International Success
Belov represented the Soviet Union national team on five occasions, conceding eight goals. A notable performance came in an away match against England, where he conceded five goals. He was also included in the squad for the 1958 FIFA World Cup.
Post-Career Life
Following his retirement, Belov dedicated himself to coaching. He worked at the youth academy of Nalchik's Spartak club and later at a goalkeeper school founded by Alexander Apshev. Among his notable students were Zaour Khappov, Khasanbi Bidzhiev, Sergei Kraschenko, and Stanislav Radtke.
