Early Life and Education
Yuriy Nedashkovsky was born on September 25, 1943, in the village of Tyup, Kyrgyzstan. In 1966, he graduated from the Tomsk Polytechnic Institute with a degree in heat engineering and specialized in "Design and Operation of Nuclear Power Plants."
Professional Career
After graduating, Nedashkovsky worked for the Ural Branch and later the Southern Department of the All-Union Heat Engineering Institute from 1966 to 1977. From 1976 to 1985, he served as Deputy Chief Engineer of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
He then became Chief Engineer of the Minsk Nuclear Power Plant from 1985 to 1986. From 1986 to 1996, he held various positions at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, including Director and General Director.
Nedashkovsky served as Chairman of the Board of JSC "Energy Company Energoatom" from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, he temporarily acted as President of NAC "Energoatom."
From 2000 to 2002, he was President of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Energy Corporation. Since 2002, he has been a Member of the Ukrainian Parliament.
He currently holds the position of General Director of the separate subdivision "AtomProjectEngineering" of the State Enterprise NAC "Energoatom."
Political Career
Nedashkovsky was elected to the Ukrainian Parliament in 2002 and has served as a Member of Parliament since then. He is a member of the Party of Regions.

Nedashkovsky has received numerous honors and awards, including:Laureate of the USSR Council of Ministers Prize (1981)
Excellent Energy Engineer of the USSR (1982)
Honored Energy Engineer of Ukraine (1995)
He has also been honored with:
Order of the Badge of Honor (1981)
Honorary Sign of the President of Ukraine (1996)
Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, Vth class (2003)
