Biography of a Ukrainian Footballer and Coach

Early Life and Career

Born in Ukraine, the former Soviet Union, the renowned footballer and coach began his football career in his early years. As a young player, he showcased exceptional talent, leading to his selection in the Soviet Union's youth national team. During the prestigious international "Friendship" tournament and UEFA tournaments in 1979 and 1980, respectively, he made significant contributions, scoring a goal in the former.

Club Career

The footballer gained prominence while playing for the Ukrainian club Volyn in Lutsk. Throughout his tenure with Volyn, he established himself as one of the team's most prolific goalscorers, netting an impressive 91 goals across all competitions. Notably, he broke the club's single-season scoring record with 22 goals in 1989.

National Team

In his youth, the footballer represented the Soviet Union's under-18 national team. He made five appearances and scored a goal in the 1979 "Friendship" tournament and played in two games in the 1980 UEFA tournament.

Coaching Career

Following his playing career, the former footballer transitioned into coaching. He currently serves as the coach of the reserve team of his former club, FC Volyn.
