Early Career
From 2003 to 2007, Vladimir Hudyma trained with the youth team of FC Karpaty Lviv, and in July 2007, he represented Ukraine's U-17 squad in a tournament. On April 10, 2007, he made his debut for Karpaty-2 in Ukraine's Second League, playing against FC Nyva Ternopil. Overall, he made 48 appearances and scored 6 goals for Karpaty-2.
Debut for Karpaty and Eurocup Experience
In the 2009/10 season, Hudyma helped Karpaty's reserve team win the Ukrainian Youth Championship. He then debuted for the main squad on May 5, 2010, coming on as a substitute against FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih. In the summer of 2010, he was permanently promoted to the first team. On August 1, 2010, Hudyma earned a penalty and scored a goal against FC Zorya Luhansk, earning him the title of "Man of the Match" according to an official survey conducted by Karpaty's website. On August 19, 2010, he played his first European match in the UEFA Europa League qualifying round against Turkish club Galatasaray. Karpaty made it to the group stage of the Europa League, where they faced teams like Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla, and Paris Saint-Germain. Hudyma appeared in three matches during the group stage.
Loan and Move to Poland
From August to November 2014, Hudyma represented FC Nyva Ternopil on loan. In February 2015, he moved to Polish club Chrobry Glogow.
International Career
Hudyma represented Ukraine's U-17 youth team from 2006 to 2007, playing 14 matches. He also made 4 appearances for the U-19 youth team and 5 matches for the U-21 team, scoring one goal. In August 2010, he participated in the Valeriy Lobanovskyi Memorial Tournament with the U-21 team, leading Ukraine to a third-place finish.
