Early Life and Education
Vladimir Valeriyevich Ostapchuk was born and raised in the city of Uman, Ukraine. He excelled in his studies, earning a degree in philology from his local university. Following graduation, he taught English at the Uman Agrarian University for a year.
Journey to Kyiv
In 2009, Ostapchuk made the move to Kyiv to attend the school of announcers at STB. After honing his skills, he landed a position at the First Automobile Television Channel, where he spent the next 1.5 years.
Television Career
Ostapchuk's signature program, "Minus One," was a collaborative effort with Alexander Toroppov. Its humorous premise aimed to highlight the folly of drivers on the road.
Throughout his career, Ostapchuk has worked as an announcer, radio host, and television host across a variety of channels and radio shows. He also pursued an acting career, making cameo appearances in the television series "Return of Mukhtar."
International Expansion and Recognition
In 2017, Ostapchuk's career reached new heights when he was selected as the host of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, held in Kyiv. He relocated to Toronto, Canada, for a period before returning to Ukraine with his family in 2019.
Stand-Up Comedy and Show Hosting
Expanding his repertoire, Ostapchuk debuted his stand-up comedy routine, "Neukonventsionny" (Unconventional), in 2020. The same year, he took the helm as the host of the popular detective show "Maska" (The Masked Singer) on the "Ukraina" channel.
Personal Life
Vladimir Ostapchuk has a twin sister, Olga, and an older brother, Andrey. From his first marriage to Elena Voychenko (2007-2020), he has two children: a daughter, Emilia (born 2013), and a son, Evan-Alexander (born 2018).
Since October 15, 2020, Ostapchuk has been married to Kristiana Ostapchuk (Gorniak).
