Biography of Yegor Benkendorf
Yegor Benkendorf is a Ukrainian film director, screenwriter, producer, and the president of the National Television Company of Ukraine since March 17, 2010. Born on February 14, 1974, in Kiev, he is the son of Andrey Benkendorf, a film director and producer at TRK "Kiev" (2008-2009). Yegor completed his studies at the Kiev State Institute of Culture, specializing in theater directing, and also attended courses in cinematography.
Career
Since 1997, Yegor has been working with the television channel "Inter." He started his career as an administrator and has now become a producer for the channel. He is also the director of "Inter Media Production," a company that creates television series and films for the channel. Additionally, Yegor is a producer at the documentary film studio "07 Production" and the deputy director of "Pirate Production" studio. His portfolio includes television projects such as "Ob"yegorki," "Na liniyi ohnya," "Narodna platforma," "Sheyk," "Shans. Model.ua," "Igry patriotov," and "Stan Miss Vselennaya." Some of his documentary films are "11 sentyabrya," "Priklyuchenie ukrainskikh deneg," "8 dney odnogo goda," "Velikie Ukrayintsi," "Skhodzhennya blahodatnoho ohnya," "Svoboda s Savikom Shusterom," "Vienskiy bal," and "Svoboda na Intere."
Awards and Recognition
In 2007, Yegor entered the film industry and immediately started actively directing. He received the Ivan Franko Prize for Information Activities "Golden Feather," the highest award from the jury, for his film "Igry patriotov" (2007). Yegor Benkendorf has also been honored as a Meritorious Worker of Culture in Ukraine.
