Wladyslaw Krool: A Versatile Sportsman
Early Career and Football SuccessWladyslaw Krool began his football journey at Sokół Nalenczów, where he played from 1919 to 1920. He then joined Lublanka before transferring to ŁKS Łódź in the summer of 1928. Krool quickly established himself as a key player for ŁKS, becoming a leader of the team. In 1932, he finished second in the Polish Championship goalscoring charts.
During the German occupation of Poland, Krool continued to play football, participating in numerous friendly matches with ŁKS. He scored an impressive 295 goals in over 300 matches during this period.
International Debut and Hockey Achievements
Krool made his international debut for the Polish national football team in a 4-3 win against Yugoslavia on September 10, 1933. He scored one of the goals in that match. In total, Krool played four games for his country, scoring two goals.
In addition to football, Krool also excelled in хокcey, playing for ŁKS Łódź. He represented the Polish national hockey team from its founding in 1929 until 1951. Krool competed in the 1936 Winter Olympics and the 1938 World Championship in Prague.
Coaching Career
After retiring as a player, Krool obtained his coaching license in 1946. He led Widzew Łódź and ŁKS Łódź, guiding the latter to victory in the Polish Cup in 1957 and the Polish Championship in 1958. Krool later coached ŁKS Łódź's under-19 team, which won the national championship in its age group in 1962.
