Early Life and Career
Wahbi Khazri was born in France on February 8, 1991, and holds dual French-Tunisian citizenship. He began his footballing journey with the youth academy of AC Ajaccio before moving to SC Bastia's youth team in 2003.
Professional Debut and Bastia Success
Khazri made his professional debut for Bastia in 2009, quickly establishing himself as a key midfielder. He helped the club gain promotion to Ligue 1 during the 2011/12 season.
Bordeaux and Sunderland
In 2014, Khazri moved to Bordeaux, spending two seasons with the French club. In 2016, he signed for Sunderland in the English Premier League, where he made a significant impact despite the team's eventual relegation.
Loan to Rennes
Following Sunderland's relegation, Khazri was loaned to Rennes in France. He made an immediate impact, scoring in his debut match against Marseille.
