The Young HeroSix-year-old William Coy, lovingly nicknamed "Little Hero," tragically passed away after falling from a window in his family's home in Lincoln, England, on July 17, 2018. Despite the profound grief, his parents honored his wishes to donate his organs, giving the gift of life to others.
A Heartbreaking Accident
William's fall from the window on Lindum Avenue occurred on July 17th at approximately 9:30 PM. He was rushed to the hospital but sustained severe injuries. His death was confirmed by the police on July 19th.
An Act of Kindness
After his passing, it was revealed that William had donated six of his organs, providing hope and a second chance for those in need of transplants. Family friend Laura Wilson recalled, "Just before the accident, he had watched something [about donation] on television and told his mom he wanted to be an organ donor."
A Ripple of Hope
William's tragic passing touched the hearts of countless families who were waiting anxiously for transplants. The six-year-old's kindness and compassion will forever be a source of solace, knowing that he brought joy to strangers in the face of tragedy.

Laura, whose son was William's best friend, spoke of the efforts to honor his memory. "All his friends are trying to do their best to keep his memory alive," she said, emphasizing his happiness, laughter, and unwavering spirit.
Fundraising for Support
Amy Cash de Flores, another family friend, launched a fundraising page to aid the "Little Hero's" family during their time of need. The campaign has raised over £4,000 to date. "William was an amazing, loving, happy, kind, and mischievous little boy who touched the lives of everyone he met," Amy remarked. "He will be so sadly missed and never forgotten."
Support for Schoolchildren
The primary school that William attended was informed of the tragedy and assured students that "these things don't happen very often." To provide additional support, the school sent a letter to parents, urging them to "give extra cuddles."
The letter stated, "William sadly died in a tragic accident, and the children have been reassured that these things don't happen very often."
"This is a very sad loss for all of us, but we also know at times like this it is best to try to keep the school routines as normal as possible."
"Our thoughts are with William's family at this very sad time. The school community sends its deepest sympathies."
