Early Life and Family HeritageWilliam Devane Simard was born on April 20, 1968, in Montreal, Canada. He relocated to Florida with his mother, Diana, at the age of 19. Devane has a remarkable family history, including a grandfather who founded DeForest Training School (now DeVry University) and a father who set 26 world records in track and field.
