William Parsons: A Distinguished Engineer and Leader
Early Life and EducationWilliam Parsons obtained a degree in engineering from Mississippi State University and the University of Central Florida. Prior to joining NASA in 1990, he held positions at the Houston Space Center and Kennedy Space Center.

During his tenure at NASA, Parsons demonstrated exceptional engineering skills and managerial abilities. As the Director of the John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi for five years, he oversaw a team of 4,600 professionals. His dedication and leadership earned him the NASA Distinguished Service Medal.
Appointment as Space Shuttle Program Manager
