Biography of Janina Ipohorska

Janina Ipohorska was a Polish artist and journalist who worked for the illustrated weekly magazine "Pszkruj" in Krakow. She led a column of aphorisms under multiple pseudonyms for over twenty years until 1970. It was something like a series of aphorisms with recurring characters, with the main one being a young blonde named Kretia Patachkuvna.

In 1959, Ipohorska published "Thoughts of Great and Ordinary People, as well as Fafik the Dog" under the pseudonym "the Roek brothers". Since she did not sign her own name and played a literary game, her authorship always remains (unfortunately!) only speculative.
