Biography of Yulia Galkina
Yulia Galkina was born on December 24, 1984, into a family of historians. As the actress herself recalls, she was a tomboy in her childhood: she had short hair and played war games with boys. During her school years, she led an active lifestyle, studying dance and acting. After graduating from school in 2001, Yulia, giving in to her parents' persuasion, enrolled in the psychology faculty of KGU (Kostroma State University). However, after a year of studying, she made a firm decision to become an actress. Yulia went to Moscow, applied to all the theater universities, and successfully passed several of them. In the end, she chose the School-Studio of the Moscow Art Theatre (MXAT), where she was enrolled in the course of I. Zolotovitsky and S. Zemtsov.

Already in her third year, Yulia Galkina made her debut on the stage of the Moscow Art Theatre in the role of Masha in the play "The Return" directed by Y. Yeryomin. And in 2006, after completing her studies at the School-Studio, she was accepted into the troupe of the Moscow Art Theatre. The range of the young actress turned out to be quite wide - from lyrical heroines to character roles. Her characters included: the fateful nurse Kelly in the play "White Rabbit," the frivolous lady Sorel Bliss in "Spring Fever," the flirtatious but naive Dunyasha in Chekhov's "The Cherry Orchard." Among her other works: Audrey in the play "Primadonnas," Nun in Moliere's "Tartuffe," Girl in Goncharov's "Oblomov," Kerilashvili in the play "Do Not Leave Your Loved Ones," a series of roles in the production of "The Humpbacked Horse" (Horse, Peasant Woman, Star, Fish), and more. In addition, Yulia Galkina played in the play "Marriage" at the Oleg Tabakov Theatre-Studio, based on the eponymous work by N.V. Gogol.

Yulia Galkina began her film career in 2007. Audiences noticed her in the TV series "Two Sisters" (Alla Zaitseva) and the melodrama "Queen," where she portrayed Nina, a lively and sharp-tongued provincial girl with the appearance of a Hollywood movie star, who came to conquer the capital and build her personal life. Among her other works from 2008 to 2010: Svetlana, a stripper in the crime film "High Heels," Yekaterina Kolycheva in the comedy "The Taming of the Shrew," Alena Stepanova in the TV series "Zhurov," Albina Ulyanskaya in the TV series "Scythian Gold." Unfortunately, not all the films she appeared in were of high quality, but her potential as an actress was consistently felt.
Beautiful, striking, able to present herself, and possessing undeniable talent, Yulia Galkina quickly won over the audience. There is no shortage of offers from film directors. Just in 2011-2012 alone, the actress appeared in nearly two dozen films. She brilliantly played Zoya Voskresenskaya in the 10th episode of the series "Duels," Yana Komarovskaya in the melodrama "The Sect," Pelageya, the wife of Chapaev, in the TV series "Passions for Chapaev," Marina in the melodrama "I Believe."
