The Acting Dynasty of the Abdulovs

Will Zhenya continue the acting dynasty of the Abdulovs? There have been rumors that Mark Zakharov, the artistic director of the Lenkom Theatre, is open to introducing your daughter to a children's role...

"At Lenkom, there are no children's plays. There is only one children's role in 'Royal Games' with just one line. I can't say if Zhenya will ever participate in this play. We haven't thought about it yet. Zhenya is a normal child, completely non-celebrity. She goes to kindergarten like any other child. If destiny leads her to become an actress, she will grow up and become one. I don't want to push her into various plays, films, and so on, especially since theater is a serious matter. It's not like movies, where you come, film, and leave. Theater is no joke. I believe that such things need to be approached with a great deal of responsibility. I don't want to press Zhenya in choosing her profession.

For example, she believes she has talent in drawing. Let her choose her own path."

You mentioned that you graduated from astrology school. Are you practicing it now? How are you finding fulfillment?

"My main task now is to raise my child. Alexander Gavrilovich never had the opportunity to finish filming the movie based on Alexey Tolstoy's novel 'The Hyperboloid of Engineer Garin' (the actor fell ill during filming). Can another director complete his work?"

"I think so. Recently, there have been people who have shown interest in this film. So we will meet, communicate, and maybe something good will come out of it. However, Sasha was not filming a straightforward adaptation of Garin. It has an entirely different, modern plot, with different characters. Considering that Sasha has already filmed a lot of material, it could turn out to be a good film."

Personal Life After Alexander Abdulov

It has been five years since Alexander Gavrilovich passed away. How is your personal life now? Is there a beloved man by your side?

"I don't have a personal life, if that interests your readers. My personal life is my home and my child. I have no intention of getting married again."

After such a man, it must be difficult to meet someone worthy...

"I don't even want to discuss such matters. It's already clear. I feel that Sasha is still with us..."

Do you still communicate with Abdulov's mother?

"Yes, of course. Lyudmila Alexandrovna will come to Sasha's anniversary event at Lenkom, where a memorial evening will be held. Sasha's mother, fortunately, despite her advanced age, is feeling well."

We regularly communicate with my daughter's grandmother. Zhenya is very similar to her and loves her very much.

Recently, my daughter and I visited her grandmother on May 9th to congratulate her. In general, everything is fine because my grandmother is a member of our family."

The Future of Abdulov's Properties

What will happen to Alexander Gavrilovich's country house in Vnukovo and the hunting lodge in Valday? Will you sell them?

"We live in the house in Vnukovo and have no intention of selling it. As for the house in Valday, it is still uncertain... Some time ago, we wanted to sell the hunting lodge, but then we changed our minds... Currently, there is a proposal to turn it into a museum in memory of Sasha. I don't know what we will decide.

It would be a shame to sell this house. I don't want it to fall into the hands of strangers because everything there reminds me of Sasha. And the location is splendid - Valday, opposite the monastery... It would be nice to make something memorable there, so that our friends and fans of Sasha could visit with pleasure. We are still thinking about it."
