Education

Yurii Pohulyayko holds a degree in Management of Organizations and Enterprises from Luhansk State Agrarian University, a law degree from Interregional Academy of Human Resources Management, and another law degree from the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Law Enforcement Career

Pohulyayko's career in law enforcement began as a precinct inspector in the police force. He also served as a detective in the anti-economic crime unit of the Krasnodon City Department of the Interior Affairs of the Luhansk Region.

Government Service

Over the years, Pohulyayko held various positions in law enforcement agencies of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs in different regions, including as a first deputy chairman of the Luhansk Regional State Administration from August 22, 2019.

Appointment as Governor of Volyn Oblast

On October 28, 2019, the Cabinet of Ministers approved Pohulyayko's appointment as Chairman of the Volyn Regional State Administration.
