Biography of Zinat Bi
Zinat Bi is an Indian woman who is currently a resident of Bhopal. According to official records, she is 101 years old, but she claims to be 12 years older. If her claim is verified, Bi will become the Guinness World Record holder for the oldest living dwarf. Despite her small stature, standing at just 1 meter tall, and her advanced age, Bi has impressive plans for herself. She aspires to personally meet Bollywood star Salman Khan and perform the Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca.
Early Life and Historical Memories
Throughout her long life, Zinat Bi has witnessed many changes. She remembers a time when India was under British rule, with British officials and their vassals called nawabs governing the country. The city where Bi has spent her life was once a small settlement surrounded by jungles, but it gradually developed into a bustling urban area. Bi recalls the British bringing real bread to the country, a dish that was previously unknown and left everyone amazed by its unique taste. She also witnessed the jungles gradually giving way to urban development.
A Life of Solitude
Zinat Bi has experienced the loss of all her relatives, as she never married or had children. As a result, there is no one to take care of her in her old age. Currently, her only source of income is a monthly government allowance of 275 Indian rupees, equivalent to approximately £3.19 or 150 Russian rubles. Bi has become accustomed to absolute solitude, as the last close person in her life left her almost 50 years ago. She used to receive support from former Indian minister Uma Bharti, who provided her with shelter and additional resources. However, modern politicians no longer show interest in Bi, and she is remembered only as an unusual curiosity.
A Friend in Need
Abrar Muhammad Khan is the only friend Zinat Bi has. She lives in his house and has become like a member of his family. However, Khan's resources are also limited, and although he can provide shelter for Bi, he is unable to help her financially. Money would greatly benefit Bi, as her advanced age has come with a range of health issues. Despite this, she has managed to retain her naturally black hair color. However, her eyes and bones have not been as fortunate, as Bi has undergone cataract surgery and suffers from severe calcium deficiency. She has lost almost all of her teeth and her bones are fragile.
