Early Career
Damir Kavazović, a former Bosnian footballer, began his professional career at his hometown club FK Sloboda Tuzla. In 1998, he moved to Germany to join VfL Osnabrück, where he played for two seasons.
Transfer Saga and Move to Russia
In the winter of 2001, Kavazović made a controversial transfer to Russian club FC Anzhi Makhachkala. However, the deal almost fell through due to delays in payment from the club's management.
Return to Bosnia and Herzegovina
After his stint with Anzhi, Kavazović returned to Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he played for FK Budućnost Banovići and FK Čelik Zenica. He ended his playing career in 2006.
