Early Life and EducationZiyi Zhang was born on February 9, 1979, in Beijing, China. She is one of the most well-known actresses in Chinese cinema today. Zhang attended the prestigious Beijing Dance Academy at the age of 11 and later enrolled in the Central Academy of Drama in China, which is considered the most prestigious acting college in the country. Initially skeptical of pursuing a career in dance, Zhang experienced difficulties during her time at a boarding school, where she witnessed the competitiveness and cruelty of her fellow classmates.
