Early Life and Education
Zoran Konjanovski was born into a Macedonian family. He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bitola.
Political Career
Chairman of Bitola Municipal CouncilIn 2005, Konjanovski was elected Chairman of the Bitola Municipal Council after local elections. He also became a member of the Executive Committee of the VMRO-DPMNE party in the same year.
Minister for Local Self-Government
From August 26, 2006, to June 1, 2007, Konjanovski served as Minister for Local Self-Government.
Director-General of Bitola Mining-Energy Combine
In June 2007, he was appointed Director-General of the Bitola Mining-Energy Combine, which was one of the largest enterprises in the Republic of Macedonia.
Minister of Defense of the Republic of Macedonia
On July 26, 2008, Konjanovski was appointed Minister of Defense of the Republic of Macedonia, a position he held until 2011.
Personal Life
Zoran Konjanovski is married to Jasmina, and they have two sons, Damjan and Gorazd.
