Early Life and Education

Born into a family of teachers, Adam Struzik enrolled in and successfully completed medical studies at the Medical University of Łódź. He then pursued post-graduate studies in healthcare organization and economics, as well as management in public administration at the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw.

Political Beginnings

Struzik commenced his political career in 1984 upon joining the United People's Party. He switched to the Polish People's Party "Rebirth" in 1989 and became a member of the Polish People's Party in 1990. His initial foray into local politics was as a municipal councilor in the commune of Nowy Duninów (1984-1988). In 1988, he was elected as a municipal councilor in the commune of Gąbin.

Senatorial Career

Struzik's national political breakthrough came with his election to the Polish Senate in 1991, representing the Płock Voivodeship. In the Senate, he was a prominent member of the Committee on Social Policy and Health, effectively serving as its chairman. Notably, he was elected as Marshal of the Senate in 1993.

Provincial and Further Political Activities

Building upon his successful Senate tenure, Struzik transitioned to the provincial level, securing election to the Masovian Voivodeship Sejmik in 1998. He has held this position consistently since then, being re-elected in 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2018. Notably, he was simultaneously appointed as Marshal of the Masovian Voivodeship on December 10, 2001, a position he has since retained after each election.

Struzik has played an active role in national politics as well. He ran as a candidate for the presidency of Płock in 2010, securing fourth place with 10.88% of the vote. In 2015, he assumed the role of Vice-Chairman of the Polish People's Party.
