Early Career and Juventus Success

Born in Italy, the defender began his professional career with lower-division club Empoli. In 1997, he made the leap to Serie A powerhouse, Juventus.

Debut and Serie A Triumphs

On August 31, 1997, the player made his Serie A debut for Juventus in a 2-0 victory against Lecce. Throughout his tenure with the club until 2008, he played a key role in Juventus' successes, including three Serie A titles (1997/98, 2001/02, 2002/03) and three Supercoppa Italiana titles (1997, 2002, 2003).

International Debut and Coaching Career

Alongside his club achievements, the defender earned six caps for the Italian national team, making his debut in a 1-1 draw against Turkey in November 2002. After retiring from playing, he transitioned into coaching, serving as an assistant manager under compatriot Dario Bonetti, who was then the head coach of the Zambian national team.
