Early Life and Education

Oleksii Novak was born on May 1, 1981, in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Raised by an educator mother and a welder father, he had an older brother born in 1975 who later joined the Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry.

In 1998, Novak graduated from Kharkiv Secondary School No. 120 and enrolled in the Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports. He completed his studies there in 2004 with a master's degree.

At the same time, he pursued a degree in Veterinary Pharmacy at the Kharkiv State Zooveterinary Academy, graduating in 2009.

Sports Career

Powerlifting
- 2000: 2nd place at the European Junior Championship
- 2001: Champion and record holder of Ukraine
- 2001: Champion and record holder of Europe, Syktyvkar, Russia
- 2001: World Champion in Powerlifting, Finland
- 2002: 3rd place at the European Powerlifting Championship, Sweden
- 2002: 3rd place at the World Powerlifting Championship, Slovakia
- 2003: Champion of Ukraine in Powerlifting

- 2003: Best Ukrainian Athlete in Powerlifting and Best Ukrainian Athlete in Non-Olympic Sports

Strongman

Starting in 2003, Novak transitioned to Strongman competitions. He became a member of the Ukrainian national team and participated in the Bogatyr Games.

- 2010: Team winner in the Ukraine-Europe Bogatyr Match in the 105 kg weight class

- 2011: Team winner in the Ukraine-USA Bogatyr Match in the 105 kg weight class

Personal Life

Novak is married and has two children: a daughter, Ksenia, and a son, Arseny.

He currently works as a personal trainer at a fitness center in his hometown.
