Early Life and Influences

12 September 1992:Alexia Fast is born in Vancouver, British Columbia, to film producer Cheryl-Lee Fast and a songwriter father. Her mother's notable works include "NYC Tornado Terror," "Smile and Nod," and "Spirit Bear," earning nominations at the Leo Awards and Gemini Awards.

A Love for Film

At the age of 9:Fast writes, directs, and stars in her first short film, "The Red Bridge," using a purple pen and rough sketches, borrowed equipment from a community film society, and an original soundtrack by a local band. It is screened at the Atlantic Film Festival in 2002 and the Reel to Reel Film Festival in Vancouver in 2006.

Transition to Acting

Three years after her debut film:Fast receives permission from her parents to pursue acting. She states, "I learned a sense of craft and technique in acting. Everything is better because of it, including my marks in school. I'm a better writer, a better reader, and I've learned how to deal with criticism and failure. I'm a pretty self-sufficient and confident person as a result of it all at such an early age."

Education and University

Fast attends Thompson Rivers University, named after the North and South Thompson rivers that meet in Kamloops, British Columbia.

Film Career

2006:Fast makes her feature film debut in the black comedy "Fido." She recalls, "My career began when I auditioned for casting director Lynn Kárroll, who cast 'Jumanji,' 'The X-Files,' and several Steven Spielberg films, and landed the role. I have been working consistently ever since and am so grateful to Lynn Kárroll for taking a chance on me."

However, in 2019, she was spotted shopping for an engagement ring with a boyfriend.
