Anastasia Kostenko: A Journey from Model to Wife and Social Media Star
Early Life and Education
Anastasia Kostenko was born on March 29, 1994, in the small town of Salsk in the Rostov Region of Russia. Her father, Yaroslav Kostenko, ran his own business, while her mother, Victoria Shcherbakova, worked as a psychologist in a local school. After her parents' divorce when she was around five years old, Anastasia primarily resided with her mother, who later remarried and gave birth to her two sisters, Diana and Daria, and a brother, Viktor.
Dance and Ballet
From a young age, Kostenko displayed a passion for the arts, studying piano at a music school and enrolling in a dance studio. As a teenager, she aspired to pursue a career in dance and even choreographed performances for her mother's school events. After completing the ninth grade, she attended the Stavropol Regional College of Arts to study ballet. However, disagreements with her instructors led her to transfer to the Rostov Choreographic School. A serious injury ultimately prevented her from achieving her dream of becoming a professional dancer.
Modeling
Kostenko had participated in beauty pageants since childhood, earning the title of "Miss Charm" at age six. After graduating high school, she continued to pursue modeling. In 2012, she was crowned "Miss Charm" and "Don Beauty" (according to Woman.ru).
The following year, Kostenko claimed to have won the Miss All Nation 2013 pageant in Mongolia. Upon returning home, she applied for the prestigious Miss Russia pageant and was granted an invitation to compete in Miss Russia 2014. She emerged as the 2nd Vice-Miss and received a scholarship to study at any university in the world. As the winner of that year's Miss Russia competition only competed in Miss Universe, Kostenko represented her country at Miss World. Despite being highly regarded by bookmakers, she placed only 20th.

Personal Life
Kostenko has remained relatively private about her personal life in the past, only once alluding to an unsuccessful relationship. However, in 2017, rumors of a romance between her and Russian footballer Dmitry Tarasov began circulating online.
The speculation first arose when fans spotted the pair dining together at a Moscow cafe. Initially, they did not comment on the rumors, but Anastasia later changed her relationship status on VKontakte to "in love", fueling public interest.
Tarasov was the first to address the rumors, stating that he met Kostenko in late 2016, after his marriage to Olga Buzova had already deteriorated, and that their relationship only began after his official divorce. However, his account was met with skepticism.
Media outlets reported alleged infidelity on Tarasov's part while he was still married to Buzova. Fans of Buzova labeled Kostenko a "homewrecker" and Tarasov a "cheater." However, accusations of disloyalty were also leveled against Anastasia, with rumors that she had betrayed a boyfriend she had been dating since adolescence and was even engaged to. However, there is no concrete evidence to support these claims.
The couple's relationship continued to develop, and in an interview, Kostenko confessed that Tarasov initially did not impress her as she was not a football fan. However, his romantic pursuits, including dates, presents, and flowers, eventually won her over. Tarasov ultimately captured her heart after she witnessed his doting nature as a father. This role was familiar to the footballer, as he had a daughter, Angelina, from his first marriage to Oksana Ponomarenko.
Kostenko and Tarasov moved in together in March 2017. Towards the end of the year, Tarasov proposed to her during a vacation to the Maldives. They were married a few months later, after which Kostenko adopted her husband's surname, becoming Anastasia Tarasova. The couple later decided to have a church wedding, which Kostenko described as a meaningful and emotional event.
It was soon revealed that Tarasova was expecting her first child with Tarasov. In April 2018, she was hospitalized due to pregnancy complications. As a result of his wife's hospitalization, Tarasov missed the premiere of the film "Out of the Game," which his football team, Lokomotiv, attended in full force. Fortunately, no serious complications arose, and the couple welcomed a daughter, Milana, that summer.
The couple made no secret of their desire for a large family, and it wasn't long before Tarasova became pregnant again. Nearing her due date, controversy erupted after Tarasov's interview with T-Killah, in which he stated that his wife could "get a slap" for certain offenses.
Tarasova's followers condemned the footballer and bombarded her with questions about domestic violence. She quickly defended her husband, declaring that she had warned him against any physical abuse prior to their marriage. Tarasov also released a video explaining his comments, claiming they were made in jest. He強調 that his upbringing would never allow him to raise a hand against a woman. Many remained unconvinced.
In February 2020, the couple celebrated the birth of their second daughter, Eva.
In October of the same year, headlines emerged claiming that Anastasia had "sued for alimony." However, the defendant was not Dmitry Tarasov but his ex-wife. The legal dispute arose because the court had not taken into account the footballer's two children with his current wife when determining the amount of child support. With the assistance of lawyer Ekaterina Gordon, the couple was able to resolve the matter in their favor.
Rumors that Tarasova was expecting her third child began circulating in early 2021, following an interview with her husband. He mentioned that his wife was hesitant to get vaccinated against COVID-19 due to concerns about its potential effects on a pregnant woman.
Although Tarasova initially denied the rumors, she later shared a new family photo on social media in May, clearly showing her baby bump. She expressed excitement about the upcoming addition to their family. On October 29, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy weighing 3200 grams and measuring 52 centimeters, who they named Alexei.
As a mother of three, Tarasova has become deeply involved in family life. According to Dmitry, his wife now manages their finances. Notably, the footballer has always described his wife as being completely devoid of materialism and financially responsible.
Media Career
Tarasova maintained an active Instagram blog prior to her marriage, sharing beauty and health tips with her followers. Simultaneously, she pursued a degree in journalism at the Faculty of Philology at the Russian University of Friendship of Peoples, utilizing the scholarship she had won previously.
Tarasova completed her studies while being a wife and mother. By this time, her social media following had grown significantly, and her sponsored posts were generating a substantial income. The content of her posts also evolved, as she began sharing more family photos.
While her posts received many positive reactions, she was not immune to criticism, particularly regarding her fashion choices. During her first pregnancy, blogger Lena Miro accused her of dressing inappropriately for a pregnant woman. Tarasova responded by acknowledging that she disliked maternity clothes and preferred to wear comfortable attire.
Her use of Photoshop also drew criticism. In late 2020, she posted a photo of herself in a swimsuit that her followers recognized. They quickly found evidence that she had worn the same swimsuit during her second pregnancy but had altered the color in the editor to make it appear new. Shortly before that, she was ridiculed for "photoshopping" a Mercedes into one of her pictures.
Tarasova's decision to pursue a career as a television host did not escape the attention of her detractors. The qualified journalist realized her long-held dream when she was invited to co-host the "Ak Bars Show." However, her first episode was met with a barrage of criticism. Netizens attacked her for her lack of hockey knowledge and incoherent speech. Fans of Olga Buzova were particularly vocal in their disapproval.
Despite the criticism, Tarasova continues to be active on social media. In addition to her Instagram account, she maintains a presence on VKontakte and shares updates on TikTok.
In 2021, Anastasia and her husband once again sparked discussion with the release of their "Family Code" on Telegram. They shared rules they adhere to in their marriage, but the publication mainly amused their critics.
Anastasia Kostenko Today
In early 2023, Anastasia enrolled her daughters in a rhythmic gymnastics class. The girls competed in their first competition in the spring. However, the decision was met with some backlash, as some followers accused her of overworking her children.
A more significant media event in the Tarasov family was Anastasia's account of her breast augmentation surgery. The procedure was performed at a clinic in Dubai. The wife of the footballer admitted that she did not choose the size or shape of her new breasts, trusting her surgeon fully. She was very impressed with the results.
