Anatoly Yaremenko is a Ukrainian general-lieutenant of militsiya and a decorated Hero of Ukraine. He has held several prominent positions within the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD).

Early Life and Education

Born on March 23, 1954, in Monastyryska, Ternopil Oblast, Yaremenko received his education from the following institutions:

- Lviv Special Secondary School of Militsiya (1977)

- Kyiv Higher School of the MVD of the USSR named after F.E. Dzerzhinsky (1978-1983)

- Academy of the MVD of the USSR (1990)

Yaremenko earned a Candidate of Law degree from the University of Internal Affairs in 2000, specializing in "Complex Administrative Systems: Organizational and Legal Systems of Management."

Military Service and Police Career

- 1972-1974: Served in the Soviet Army

- 1974-1983: Served as a militsioner in the Monastyryska District Department of Internal Affairs (DROV); inspector and head of the Criminal Investigation Department in the Zbarazh DROV and the Ternopil Oblast Directorate of the MVD

- 1983: Joined the faculty of the Ivano-Frankivsk Special Secondary School of Militsiya
