Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor
Dr. Vasyl V. Myroshnichenko is a Doctor of Historical Sciences and a Professor at the International Personnel Academy. He is a distinguished researcher of the war in Afghanistan.
State Service
From 1978 to 1999, Dr. Myroshnichenko served in various government positions in Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. From 1999 to 2003, he was an assistant to the chairman of the Ukrainian Union of Afghanistan Veterans and head of the department at the State Committee of Ukraine for Veterans' Affairs. He held the rank of State Servant of Ukraine 5th rank.
Education
Dr. Myroshnichenko received his higher education in 1978 from the Komsomol Higher School under the Central Committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League, specializing in history.
Scientific Activity
Since 2003, Dr. Myroshnichenko has been engaged in scientific research and writing. He is the author of several monographs, including "Historiography, Source Study, and Bibliography of the USSR's Special Operation in Afghanistan (1979-1989)" (2008) and "Historiography of the War in Afghanistan (December 25, 1979 - February 15, 1989)" (2006). He has also co-authored a university textbook on Ukrainian political history and a dictionary-reference book on the Soviet special operation in Afghanistan.
Publications
Dr. Myroshnichenko has published over 70 scholarly and publicistic articles on political history, the USSR's special operation in Afghanistan, and the global impact of the conflict. His work examines the emergence of international terrorism, Islamic extremism, and narco-terrorism, as well as the clash between superpowers during the Cold War and its consequences for the world.
