Childhood and Early Life

Andrea Heick Gadeberg was born in Sønder Bjert, Denmark on November 24, 1998. Music played a significant role in her life from an early age, as both her mother, Trine Gadeberg, was a renowned singer and actress, and her father, Jørgen Heick, was a talented trumpet player. Gadeberg inherited her parents' musical talents and vocal abilities. She absorbed a love for singing from her mother and inherited her father's passion for brass instruments, learning to play the trumpet.

Music and Film Debut

Despite her artistic tendencies, Gadeberg did not initially consider acting as a career path. However, after hearing Danish singer Sanne Salomonsen perform as a child, she aspired to become a singer. Following her parents' divorce, Gadeberg lived with her mother and became immersed in the theatre world where her mother starred in musicals. Her first stage performances were in "Annie" and "The Sound of Music."

Gadeberg made her television debut in 2009 after hearing about a casting call in Copenhagen. She auditioned secretly without her parents' knowledge and impressed the director, earning the role of Carla in the adventure series "The Witch's Pact."

Acting Hiatus and Return

After her breakout debut, Gadeberg abruptly halted her acting career to focus on music. However, she later realized she had neglected an important part of her being. In 2018, she returned to acting, landing the role of Kristine in "Do You See the Moon, Daniel?," a powerful drama based on a Scandinavian bestseller. The film premiered in 2019 and garnered critical acclaim, with Gadeberg's performance receiving high praise.

Theatre and "Eurovision"

Gadeberg's theatre career also flourished in 2019. She was given the honor of portraying her musical idol in the musical "Sanne." Three actresses played different stages of the singer's life, with Gadeberg embodying her youth. As a result, she was invited as a backing vocalist for Leonora at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest, performing "Love Is Forever" in four languages and helping Denmark secure a 12th-place finish.

Film Success

Another standout role came Gadeberg's way in Anders Thomas Jensen's black comedy "Riders of Justice." She shared screen time with renowned actors Mads Mikkelsen, Lars Brygmann, and Nicolas Bro. The film premiered at the 2020 Rotterdam Film Festival and was lauded for its dark Scandinavian humor. Gadeberg won the prestigious Robert Award for her performance. In 2021, she starred in the short film "Decay," portraying a schoolgirl who accuses her teacher of harassment.

Personal Life

Gadeberg has been in a relationship with Robert Jensen Bül, guitarist of the art-pop band Blaue Blume, since their school days. They live together but have not yet married. She is active on social media, showcasing her fit physique, sharing family photos, and announcing upcoming projects.

Recent Projects

Gadeberg continues to add to her filmography. In January 2022, the detective-fantasy series "Chosen" premiered on Netflix, featuring her in the lead role of vampire Maria.
