Biography of Volodymyr Antoniuk
Early Life and EducationVolodymyr Antoniuk was born on October 15, 1943, in Nazi-occupied Pervomaisk, Ukraine. He developed a keen interest in art from a young age. In 1962, he graduated from the Odessa Art School named after M. B. Grekov, where he honed his artistic skills.
Career in Odessa and Nikolai
Following his graduation, Antoniuk worked in the Art Fund in Odessa from 1965 to 1971. In 1971, at the behest of the local Communist Party leader, he relocated to Nikolai. Throughout his career, Antoniuk actively participated in regional, national, and international exhibitions from 1966 onwards.
Artistic Style
Antoniuk's art showcased a unique blend of influences, including naive folk art, the symbolism of expressionism, and the aesthetics of art nouveau. His works captured the essence of Ukrainian culture and landscapes.
