Oleksii Bobliakh is a Ukrainian entrepreneur and politician who serves as a People's Deputy of Ukraine in the IX convocation of the Verkhovna Rada.
Early Life and Education
Bobliakh was born on August 15, 1981, in the village of Bilashovka, Rivne Oblast, Ukraine. In 1987, his family moved to the village of Zaria, also in Rivne Oblast. He graduated from the Rivne State Humanitarian University with a degree in applied mathematics.
Business Career
Bobliakh is a private entrepreneur in the events industry. Together with his colleagues, he owns a wedding agency and a creative studio. He is also a member of the public organization "Creative Youth of Poltava Region".
Political Career
Bobliakh began his political career as an assistant-consultant to a deputy of the Rivne Regional Council. In 2012, he ran for the Verkhovna Rada as a member of the Socialist Party of Ukraine (SPU). He was placed 146th on the party's electoral list.
In 2019, Bobliakh ran as a candidate for the Verkhovna Rada from the "Servant of the People" party. He represented electoral district No. 145, which includes the Kyiv district of Poltava city, as well as the Kotelva and Poltava districts. At the time of his election, he was an individual entrepreneur residing in Poltava.
Bobliakh is a non-partisan member of the Verkhovna Rada's Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy. On December 7, 2020, the Russian government imposed sanctions on Bobliakh as part of a list of Ukrainian individuals targeted for their support of Ukraine's territorial integrity.
