Biography of Andrey Chernyshov

Childhood and Youth

Andrey Chernyshov was born in February 1973 in Kyiv. When he was 9 years old, his family moved to Zabaykalsky Krai, to the village of Syulban. At school, everything seemed to be going well for the boy: his father was a director, and his mother was a math teacher and class supervisor. This had an impact on Andrey's childhood, as he grew up under the strict supervision of his teacher parents. However, he also received low grades because, according to Chernyshov, there was a group of teachers at school who tried to hurt his father. As a result, he didn't receive the gold medal, only the silver one. "I didn't have a childhood, I was under constant control. I tried to be the first, the best. I hated school, studied through 'I can't,'" the actor recalls. The only joy in his life was the school theater "Green Carriage." The students enthusiastically worked there until late at night: composing music, rehearsing, singing, and touring neighboring villages. It was from this moment that Andrey wanted the stage to take an important place in his biography, but he didn't share his dreams with anyone. In the school theater, he became a star, participating in productions and playing only leading roles. After completing 11 grades, Andrey moved to Moscow. He applied to several theater universities. He passed the second round at the Shchukin School with a single poem, and the third round at the Shchepkin Theater School. Shortly before the exams, Chernyshov injured his leg and later consoled himself with the thought that he failed because he wasn't good at dancing. He returned to Kyiv, where he lived in his parents' apartment, worked at the Russian Drama Theater named after Lesya Ukrainka as a laborer, attended rehearsals and performances, and learned from the actors. The time spent at the Kyiv theater helped the talented young man get into the Shchepkin Higher Theatre School. Andrey completed his studies and received his coveted diploma.

Theater

After graduating from the Shchepkin School, Andrey Chernyshov tried to join the Moscow theaters, but he was rejected. When he was about to give up, he unexpectedly received a joyous offer - Mark Zakharov himself invited him to the Lenkom Theater. For 9 years, the actor devotedly performed the roles offered to him on the theater stage. The stage provided him with income and a roof over his head. During these years, Andrey played in performances such as "Royal Games" and "The Wise Man, the Barbarian, and the Heretic," "Two Women," "The Mad Day, or The Marriage of Figaro," and "Juno and Avos," although he didn't come across any interesting roles. However, Chernyshov had to part ways with Lenkom, but it was the theater's decision, not his. The actor underwent knee surgery, and as it is known, Lenkom actors dance a lot on stage. Andrey couldn't fulfill the director's visions. However, the actor said that the injury was just an excuse to leave. Mutual grievances had accumulated, and he was tired of being tied down to the theater, but he doesn't hold any grudges against it.

Films and TV series

Andrey Chernyshov received his first leading role offer during his studies at the theater school, but the film shooting was halted. The actor didn't stay without work: thanks to his athletic physique, he was invited to perform stunts. However, he struggled to break into the film industry. He attended auditions but was not cast. Chernyshov believed in his luck and didn't give up. The long-awaited moment came after 6 years: he was invited to star in a beer commercial that aired on TV in the early 2000s. He became memorable to everyone with his phrase, "Do you want me to guess your name?" After this work, fame suddenly came to Andrey. He earned enough money to repair his car, buy a mobile phone, and send his mother on a vacation to the seaside. The actor's popularity was fueled by his participation in TV series. He played his first major role in the melodrama "Free Woman," but his most memorable work was in the film "Lost in Chechnya," which was shot in English. Andrey became known for his roles as a romantic lover. He often appeared in lyrical comedies and played the roles of spouses or impressive admirers of the main heroines in films of other genres. Andrey participated in the series "Balzac Age, or All Men Are Bastards," and in "Stranger Secrets," he transformed into a tough military officer. He looked like the character both in terms of appearance and maximalism, so he had to work hard not to appear like a typical soldier. In the series "Twins," the actor had a negative role as the killer Edik. He managed to immerse himself in the character, empathize with him, and understand the motives behind his actions. Andrey Chernyshov received the "Golden Ring" award for this role. In 2009, the actor starred in the film "Bitch for a Champion." He had to gain 15 kg of muscle mass for the role and spend several hours a day in the gym under the guidance of two-time European champion Andrey Shkalikov. Andrey's filmography continues to grow continuously. He is confident that there are challenging roles ahead and he believes and waits for them. Notable roles include films such as "This Is My Dog" (2012), "Elementary Love" (2013), "Spy's Soul" (2014), and a key character in the mini-series "Mayakovsky. Two Days."

Personal Life

Andrey Chernyshov diligently embodies the image of a rugged and charming man not only on screen but also in real life. He didn't talk about his victories on the "love front" and said that he didn't want to engage in emotional striptease, but he emphasized that he dreams of a wife and children. It is known only that in his youth, he went through a difficult breakup - the girl rejected his marriage proposal. "Perhaps she didn't love me much," he said. In his personal life, Andrey has been associated with recognized beauties of the Russian show business. He was rumored to have relationships with Anna Snatkina, Anastasia Tsvetayeva, and Svetlana Khodchenkova, among others. These are just a few of the romances that the media reported on. Considering the image created by Chernyshov, his co-stars in joint projects automatically became his companions. In November 2016, it was revealed that Andrey had been living in a civil marriage for 8 years with actress Maria Dobrzynska, who is 11 years younger than him. For all these years, the actor carefully hid their relationship, creating an image of a confirmed bachelor in numerous interviews. Even his colleagues at the theater were unaware of their relationship, as they performed together on the same stage. Maria first saw her future husband at the institute but, unlike her classmates, ignored this handsome man. A year later, the actors were cast together in the play "Dreams of an Idiot." Chernyshov later admitted that he had to dispel the image of a womanizer in the eyes of his beloved woman for a long time. Andrey and Maria got married in 2017 and had a church wedding in Greece six months later, in the presence of parents from both sides and the bride's brother. The couple chose to get married quietly, without much fanfare. The groom didn't make any grand gestures - he simply stated that on a certain day, they were going to the registry office. However, they didn't have time to celebrate the wedding officially. The actor asked his wife not to change her last name, although Maria was not against becoming Chernyshova. Currently, the spouses perform together in the "Taganka Actors' Community." Andrey's close friends are Maria Kulikova and Denis Matrosov, whom the actor met on the set of the series "Two Fates." In his free time, Chernyshov enjoys going to the movies, regardless of what he watches. The main thing for him is the feeling of relaxation, "grabbing a cola, popcorn, and sitting down." In his bachelor life, Andrey has developed a passion for cooking, and he hopes that when his wife asks him to cook a particular dish, it will be because she genuinely likes it. The actor, according to his own admission, is tired of fighting fake accounts on social media. People often approach him as if they have known him for years. In the conversation, it turns out that the person has "befriended" Andrey online, even though he doesn't have any social media accounts. He doesn't see the need for Instagram, but perhaps he will become interested in it someday. For now, he has enough to do without it. Therefore, his photos on this social network are only on the pages of friends and fans.

Andrey Chernyshov Today

In the fall of 2018, the filming of the military drama "Indestructible" with Andrey Chernyshov, Vladimir Epifantsev, and Sergey Gorobchenko in the lead roles was completed. The film is based on the feat of the crew of the KV-1 tank under the command of Hero of the Soviet Union Semyon Konovalov. In the lyrical comedy "Girls Don't Give Up," the actor appeared as a pilot who succumbed to temptation and forgot about his family. And life punishes him, forcing him to make a difficult choice between his duty as a man and his feelings. In the melodrama "Believe and Wait," Chernyshov's character, by chance, lives at the address indicated in a note given to the main heroine by an old woman. In this apartment, supposedly lives a person who ordered the murder of a little child. In the detective film "Lady of Trefoil," Andrey also played the lead role. According to the script, his character, the new head of a provincial city police department, becomes involved in a love triangle. The local investigative committee is headed by his former classmate who dreams of luring the colonel away from his wife. In addition to personal problems, the policeman has to deal with drug trafficking, a gypsy camp, and underground jewelers who distribute fake jewelry. In the spring of 2020, Chernyshov participated in the show "Dancing with the Stars." His partner was Anna Melnikova, the world champion in Latin American dance. The couple's first dance, a slow waltz, according to judge Nikolay Tsiskaridze's assessment, showed that acting schools don't teach dancing well. In the same year, as the media reported, the release of the film "Crimean Sakura" was expected. The main character is based on the former prosecutor of the republic, Natalya Poklonskaya, and the role was played by Yulia Snigir. Aside from Andrey, the ensemble cast includes Anton Makarsky, Tamara Semyonova, and Roman Madyanov. Today, the actor is not a member of a repertory theater and performs in independent productions. He directed the play "What Happened in the Zoo" with Andrey Leonov, and in the production "Love on Mondays," his company includes his wife and Vyacheslav Razbegaev. In "Male Attraction, or Beware of Skiers," the will of Chernyshov the director is executed by Artem Glotov and Mikhail Parygin.
