Early Life and Career
Born in Ukraine, Andriy Donets began playing football at the tender age of six. He honed his skills at local clubs "Zbruch" and "Niva-Textilnyk" before joining Lviv's "Karpaty" in 1999.
Debut in the Ukrainian Premier League
Donets made his Ukrainian Premier League debut for "Karpaty" on March 18, 2000, in a match against "Metalurh Mariupol." Despite playing primarily for Karpaty-2, he contributed 29 appearances in the Ukrainian Premier League and 6 appearances in the Ukrainian Cup.
Career in Various Clubs
In 2005, Donets joined "Volyn Lutsk" and later transferred to Romania's "UTA Arad." He returned to "Volyn" before moving to "Zakarpattya Uzhhorod" in 2007. In 2008, he signed with "Tavriya Simferopol," making his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League on August 10.
Loan Spell at Zakarpattya
During the 2009-2010 season, Donets was loaned back to "Zakarpattya." However, an incident in November 2009 tarnished his reputation when he fouled his former teammate, resulting in a penalty against "Zakarpattya."
Return to Tavriya and Departure
Returning to "Tavriya" in 2010, Donets played sparingly before leaving the club as a free agent in May 2011. He signed a two-year contract with "Chornomorets Odesa" in June 2011.
Personal Life
Donets is married and has a daughter. His favorite football club is Arsenal FC, and his favorite food is shashlik.
