Biography of Andrey Gorbunov

Early Life and Career

Andrey Gorbunov is a Belarusian football player who is known for his skills as a goalkeeper. He was born on April 1, 1987 in Belarus. Gorbunov began his football career at a young age, joining the SDYUSHOR-7 Football School in Mogilev. His first coaches were Viktor Grigorievich Golenkov and Alexey Vladimirovich Shabarshin.

Professional Achievements

Gorbunov's talent as a goalkeeper quickly became evident, and he went on to achieve numerous accolades throughout his career. In 2012, he was named the best goalkeeper of the Belarusian Championship. He was also included in the Belarusian Football Federation's list of the top 22 players in the Belarusian Championship for the 2012 and 2013 seasons. Gorbunov had the opportunity to showcase his skills on an international stage when he participated in the UEFA Champions League in the 2012/13 season as a member of the BATE Borisov team.

Club Career

After leaving BATE Borisov in April 2014, Gorbunov joined the Greek club Atromitos on July 11, 2014. He signed a contract with the team following the "1+1" scheme. Gorbunov made his debut for Atromitos on November 29, 2014, in a home match against Xanthi, where he managed to keep a clean sheet.

International Career

Gorbunov received his first call-up to the Belarusian national team in March 2015. He made his debut for the national team on March 30, 2015, in a friendly match against Gabon, which ended in a goalless draw.

Achievements

Throughout his career, Gorbunov has achieved both team and individual successes. With Dynamo Minsk, he won the silver medal in the Belarusian Championship in 2008 and 2009. As a member of BATE Borisov, Gorbunov won the Belarusian Championship twice in 2012 and 2013. He also became the winner of the Belarusian Super Cup in 2013. Individually, Gorbunov was named the best goalkeeper of the Belarusian Championship in 2012. He was also listed among the top 22 players in the Belarusian Championship in 2012 and 2013. Additionally, Gorbunov was recognized as one of the top three goalkeepers in the Greek Championship for the 2014/15 season.
