Early Career and Local Clubs
Ukranian goalkeeper, Oleksandr Komarytskyi, began his football journey under the guidance of coach A.S. Tarasov. He played for Lviv State University of Physical Culture in the DYuFL (Junior Football League) before representing Enerhiya Schastya and Shakhtar Luhansk.
Alchevsk Steel
In 2000, Komarytskyi joined FC Stal Alchevsk, initially playing for the reserve team (Stal-2). He made 53 appearances for the second team before debuting for the main squad on May 7, 2003, in a 2-1 victory against Naftovyk-Ukrnafta.
In the 2004/05 season, Komarytskyi played a pivotal role in Stal's victory in the First League, securing their promotion to the Ukrainian Premier League. He then made his top-flight debut on July 12, 2005, in a memorable 5-0 triumph over FC Metalurh Donetsk.
Loan to Zorya Luhansk
During the 2007 winter transfer window, Komarytskyi was sent on loan to Zorya Luhansk. He played his first match for the team on April 15, 2007, in a 2-1 win against Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih. Zorya subsequently acquired him on a permanent basis in the summer of 2007.
Loss of Starting Spot and Return to Stal
In the 2009/2010 season, Komarytskyi lost his starting spot to experienced newcomer Ihor Shukhovtsev. Seeking playing time, he went on trial with FC Oleksandria in January 2010 but ultimately returned to Stal in 2011.
Personal Life and Education
Outside of football, Komarytskyi is married to Natalia and they have a daughter named Zlata. He has completed some higher education and holds the title of Master of Sports.
