Andrian Kukovey
MoldovaEarly Life and Club Career
Adrian Cucovei is a Moldovan professional footballer who plays as a full-back for Milsami Orhei. Born in Chisinau, he began his career as a youth player at Zimbru Chisinau and made his senior debut on his birthday. He quickly became a key player and a fan favorite, earning a reputation as a symbol of his generation at the club. However, in 2006, a contract dispute with Zimbru led to him being benched for half the season.
Move to Russia
In 2007, Cucovei signed for Russian club Spartak-MZhK Ryazan. However, the club faced financial difficulties and was forced to withdraw from the league after the first half of the season. Cucovei suffered an injury and was ruled out of action, but despite his untreated injury, he made his return to the field just three days after surgery and played in the final three games of the first half.
Return to Moldova and International Recognition
In the summer of 2007, Cucovei joined FC Dacia Chisinau, where he helped the team finish as runners-up in the Moldovan National Division. He represented Moldova at various youth levels, including the U17, U19, and U21 teams. In 2004, he made his debut for the senior national team at the Rothmans Cup in Malta, where he was named the best defender of the tournament. In total, he has made four appearances for the Moldovan national team.
