Early Life and Influences

Anna Bergendahl was born on December 11, 1991, in Stockholm, Sweden. She was raised in Nyköping and Katrineholm. Bergendahl is of partial Irish descent, with her grandmother hailing from Ireland.

Her first public performance was at the age of eight, where she sang Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" in York.

Musical Beginnings

In 2004, Bergendahl participated in the Swedish music program "Super Troopers." Four years later, she competed in the eighth season of "Idol 2008," finishing fifth.

In 2009, she signed with Lionheart Records and began working on her debut album.

Melodifestivalen and Eurovision

In 2010, Bergendahl participated in Melodifestivalen, the Swedish national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, with the song "This Is My Life." She emerged victorious from the final, earning 214 points and the right to represent Sweden at Eurovision in Oslo.

In the Eurovision Semi-Final, she performed sixth but unfortunately did not qualify for the Final, finishing in 11th place.

Post-Eurovision Career

After Eurovision, Bergendahl embarked on a Swedish tour in support of her debut album, "Yours Sincerely." She also participated in the SVT television program "Allsång på Skansen."
