Anna Geifman, an American and Israeli historian, was born in 1962 in Leningrad, Soviet Union, into a Jewish family. In 1976, she and her family emigrated to the United States. In 1985, she earned a master's degree from Boston University and continued her studies at Harvard University, where she received a PhD in history in 1990.
Academic Career
Geifman is a professor at Boston University. Her historical research focuses on political terrorism in Russia during the early 20th century. Her meticulous work with archival materials has been highly praised by renowned Russian historian O. V. Budnitsky.
Settling in Israel
In 2007, Geifman moved to Israel, where she continues her academic pursuits.
