Early Life and Career

Emanuel Pinna was an Austrian economist and agronomist. His practical career began with his service managing the estates of Count Thun-Hohenstein.

Establishing the Decin-Libverda Agricultural School

In 1846, Pinna founded the agricultural school in Decin-Libverda. It later became a higher education institution, with Pinna serving as its director and then trustee for many years.

Contribution to Czech Agriculture

Pinna played a significant role in the successful development of agriculture in Czechia. He organized operations on numerous large estates, presided over various agricultural societies and unions, and spearheaded initiatives to improve farming practices.

Pinna authored several influential works on economics and agriculture, including:
