Early Life and Education
Antonio Carrillo Flores was born the second son of composer Julián Carrillo. He earned his bachelor's degree in 1929 and his doctorate in 1950 from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
Political Career
Early Appointments and Ministry of FinanceCarrillo Flores played a key role in the establishment of the Federal Tax Court in 1937. He served as the Director-General of the National Finance Corporation from 1945 to 1952. Subsequently, he held the position of Minister of Finance from 1952 to 1958.
Ambassadorship to the United States
Carrillo Flores was appointed as Mexico's Ambassador to the United States from 1958 to 1964.

In 1964, he was appointed as the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, a position he held until 1970.
